  • Our distinguished gastroenterologists are dealing with almost all related disease conditions in the outpatient department as well as the inpatient section depending on the severity of the case. Examples of such conditions include, but not limited to, peptic ulcer disease, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, esophageal and gastric varices, swallowed foreign bodies, acute inflammatory conditions of the bowel, chronic inflammatory bowel disease including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, bleeding from the esophagus, stomach, small or large bowel, narrowing of the esophagus, duodenum, colon or bile ducts, irritable bowel syndrome, other motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, chronic constipation, acute and chronic pancreatitis, acute and chronic cholecystitis, clearance of bile ducts from stones, insertion of feeding tubes, acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis B and C, ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, hepatocellular carcinoma, additional to care of patients before and after liver transplantation.

  • Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit
    It is a fully equipped unit providing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic biopsies, cytology brushing, endoscopic polypectomy, endoscopic extraction of foreign bodies, endoscopic management of gastrointestinal bleeding like ligation or injection of sclerosing material for bleeding esophageal varices, injection of tissue glue for bleeding gastric varices, injection of diluted adrenalin together with electro-coagulation for bleeding ulcers, control of bleeding from abnormal blood vessel or superficial lesion by argon laser and hemoclips, balloon and bougie dilatation of GI strictures, deployment of expandable stents for localized GI strictures, endoscopic assisted insertion of gastrostomy feeding tube, ERCP related procedures for management of bile duct and pancreatic duct diseases like extraction of stones, dilatation of strictures and insertion of plastic or expandable stents.
